Relax in the peace of this recently renovated cottage, or in the secluded courtyard garden before you head off to explore the glorious Devon coastlines and scenic towns.
The drive down the winding farm track to Higher Dinnicombe Cottage, takes you past our fields of gorgeous Zwartble and Dutch Spotted Sheep, and our handsome livery horse Lego. Taking in the stunning views across towards Capton and beyond, the cottage sits opposite the magnificent Arch, a restored farmhouse entrance from the original Dinnicombe farmhouse, dating back to the 1700s.
With ample parking, and the ability to unload right outside the front door, your holiday can begin as soon as you arrive.

Enjoy A Peaceful Rural Escape
To the rear of the cottage, the kitchen stable doors lead to a secluded courtyard garden. With a large patio area and plenty of seating, this south westerly facing area benefits from the afternoon sun and the chance to relax. With a BBQ readily available, and a small herb garden to provide perfect accompaniments to any meal, this peaceful courtyard offers tranquillity after a day out exploring.

A Cosy but Spacious Cottage
On entering the cottage, the downstairs is open plan, with underfloor heating and a log burner for extra ambient heat. The sitting rooms area boasts a comfy sofa and 2 armchairs, a flat screen TV with Freeview and a Blu-ray DVD player, complete with a comprehensive selection of DVD’s. A good selection of board games and books are also available for quiet evenings in, as well as local maps and guides to plan your next outing.
The kitchen is well equipped with a Bosch cooker, induction hob and dishwasher, a washing machine and fridge freezer. A Nespresso machine will create that perfect morning coffee, to accompany eggs laid by our Dinnicombe hens. A welcome pack of breakfast essentials will be ready for you on arrival, along with a few evening drinks and nibbles, to save you from that dash to the shops pre arrival.

Upstairs the main bedroom offers a super king sized bed, with French doors filling the room with lots of natural light and views onto the gardens. Plenty of storage and hanging space are available, with an EnSuite shower room with underfloor heating, heated towel rail, Beaumont and Brown dressing gowns and towels, Neals Yard toiletries, providing that touch of luxury and comfort.
The second bedroom has a stunning view down the valley to the east, so catching the best of the morning sun. With a king-sized bed and dressing table, this smaller of the 2 rooms sits opposite a large family bathroom complete with a freestanding bath, and large power shower.
Both bedrooms have zip and link beds which can be made into single beds if required.

Beautifully complementing Higher Dinnicombe Cottage, The Shepherd’s Rest provides a secluded and peaceful space for a further 2 guests.
The downstairs fully fitted kitchen, with dining table, dishwasher, washing machine and Nespresso provides a bright open space, with the front door leading onto the private patio with stunning views across the pond and beyond, offering a tranquil place to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun.
The well lit carpeted stairs lead up to an open plan sitting/bedroom area, with plenty of space to relax after a day exploring the South Devon coast. Fully fitted with gas fired central heating, you can be sure of a cosy evening in, with a selection of books as well as a freeview TV and wifi.
The king sized bed can also be made up as twins, with a stunning en suite offering a large power shower, complete with Neals Yard products and Beaumont and Brown towels and dressing gowns for your use.
Finally the terrace to the rear of upstairs – a totally private area for evening drinks overlooking the fields in complete peace.

- Heading south on the
- M5, at J31 follow the signs for A38 Plymouth.
- After approx. 18 miles take the A384 to
- Totnes/Dartmouth/Salcombe.
- At Totnes take a right at the lights onto the A381 to Dartmouth.
- At the Totnes Cross Junction (BP petrol station on left) turn left onto the A3122.
- After 2 miles at the Forces Cross Junction (Airheadz hairdressers) turn sharp left to Allaleigh.
- Take the first right onto Ridge Lane.
- After 3/4 mile, the drive can be found on your right just after the
- Shierlings bungalow.
- Head down the farm track keeping left at the fork.
